About Proxy & VPN Detection
A proxy check helps you tell whether an IP address belongs to a real residential connection or to anonymising infrastructure — a proxy, VPN, or datacenter/hosting provider. This matters for fraud prevention, content licensing and abuse detection.
Traffic from datacenters and known VPN ranges is far more likely to be automated or attempting to hide its true origin. Inspecting the network an IP sits on is the first step in judging how much to trust it.
How it works
